PENSION BOARD ELECTION – GENERAL GOVERNMENT SEAT A
Due to Michael Paseur’s termination of employment with the City of Knoxville at the end of August 2018 his Board Member status will also end and an election for the remainder of his term ending December 31, 2020 needs to be conducted as a result. This is per the Pension Board Rules for Election of Board Members. (Those general government employees who have dropped are not eligible to participate in this process.)
THE TWO PENSION BOARD REPRESENTATIVES OF THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES CANNOT BE EMPLOYED IN THE SAME DEPARTMENT. The Seat B representative, Mr. Stephen King, is employed in the Department of Engineering, therefore the nominee for Seat A cannot be employed in that Department.
Nomination petitions may be obtained from the Pension Board Office located at 917 E. Fifth Avenue or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
To become a nominee, an interested employee must submit a nomination petition to the City of Knoxville Pension Office before 4:30 p.m. Friday, July 27, 2018.
If you should have any questions regarding the responsibilities of the Pension Board or the election process, please call the Pension Board office at 215-1444.
